Code of Conduct of the Kyokuto Boeki Kaisha Group

All business operations of the Kyokuto Boeki (KBK) Group are based on our social responsibility and the commitment to using our corporate activities to be a responsible member of the global community. We strictly comply with laws, regulations in Japan and other countries as well as international guidelines and customs for proper business operations. We adhere to the highest standards for corporate ethics and are dedicated to playing a role in the achievement of a sustainable society.


1.Compliance with laws and regulations

Executives of the KBK Group directly oversees measures to ensure compliance, which include programs to make everyone at the group well aware of the importance of compliance. All employees are guided by management policies, which are based on compliance, to do their jobs as responsible members of society. If anyone has doubts or suspicions about a problem involving compliance, we have in place an internal reporting system, including a report line organized properly with the group and a help line that is neutral and protects the identity of individuals submitting reports, and other measures to facilitate consultations and actions as needed.

2.Respect for human rights

The KBK Group has the upmost respect to the fundamental human rights of everyone. Activities involving human rights are based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, other international declarations and agreements concerning human rights, and the laws and regulations of countries worldwide. We respect the personality and individuality of our employees and provide workplace environments with no discrimination concerning gender, age, nationality, disabilities and other personal characteristics.

3.Social responsibility

The goals of the business operations of the KBK Group are the growth of corporate value and the provision of beneficial and safe products and services backed by innovation and a global perspective that meet the needs of a broad spectrum of customers and markets. 4.Fair and transparent business activities

The KBK Group conducts business activities properly while placing emphasis on unrestricted competition based on fairness and transparency. We allow only sincere corporate activities and firmly reject any types of improper transactions and business customs. We ensure transparent relationships with the political and administrative sector and will not engage in any activities for receiving improper benefits.

5.Management and disclosure of corporate information

The KBK Group has many activities for strong lines of communication with shareholders and the public. Measures are in place to ensure the accurate and fair disclosure of information that does not violate laws and regulations about insider trading. We strengthen cybersecurity measures. To minimize the risk of unauthorized access to information, we enhance employee training programs and internal management operations concerning disclosure activities.

The KBK Group advances human capital management and provides employees with a workplace environment that includes emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion. 9.Rejection of anti-social organizations

The KBK Group refuses to have any relationship whatsoever with organizations and other entities that post a threat to public safety and social order. We have activities to minimize risk involving terrorists and other organizations that post a threat to the public, including the sharing of information within the group and externally and strengthening measures to deal with threats posed by these organizations.

10.Compliance with international trade procedures, laws, and regulations

To help maintain peace and safety in the world, the KBK Group strictly complies with international restrictions, laws and regulations in Japan and other countries, and the internal company regulation concerning international trade. All laws and regulations applicable to the group’s products and services are followed and all procedures for required licenses and permits are completed. For international business activities, we also carefully observe laws and business customs in other countries where we do business.



The executives of every group company base all activities on the spirit of this code of conduct. If there is an activity that violates this code, we will respond quickly by disclosing appropriate information to the public in a timely manner. We will also perform an investigation to determine the cause of the problem and responsibility for the incident and implement preventive measures.
