July 1947 Subsequent to the resolution of Mitsui & Co. by the order of GHQ's Memorandum of Understanding, the Company was established on November 27, 1947, being mainly composed of members of the machinery and trade divisions of the former Mitsui & Co.
November 1947 The Company started its operation under the name Kyokuto Boeki Kaisha Ltd. (capitalized at ¥5 million, with head office located at 2-2, Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) as a trading company specializing in technical support service for machinery.
January 1948 Established the Sapporo Branch Office
January 1949 Established the Osaka Branch Office
January 1951 Established the Nagoya and Fukuoka Branch Office
April 1956 Established the Far East Mercantile Corp. in New York as a subsidiary company
October 1958 Established Far East Mercantile GmbH in Frankfurt as a subsidiary company
November 1960 Moved the entire Frankfurt office to Dusseldorf
October 1964 Established the London Branch Office
October 1965 Moved the entire Head Office to 4, Otemachi 2-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; later, in January 1970, the street number was changed to the present address of 2-1, Otemachi 2-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
September 1970 Established Nippon System Industries Corporation as a subsidiary company specializing in the manufacture of electronic equipment and development of software
January 1976 Established the Sendai Sales Office
April 1982 Established the Hiroshima Sales Office
September 1984 Changed the trade name from Far East Mercantile Corp. to KBK Inc.
October 1984 Changed the trade name from Far East Mercantile GmbH to Kyokuto Boeki Kaisha (KBK) GmbH
March 1987 Listed in the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
September 1994 Established the Taipei Branch Office
May 1997 Established Kyokuto Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., as a subsidiary company
March 2000 Listed and upgraded in the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
December 2003 Resolved the London Branch Office and integrated it with KBK GmbH, and changed the trade name to KBK Europe GmbH
April 2008 Established Kyokuto Trading (India) Pvt. Ltd. as a subsidiary company
April 2009 Established KBK Steel Products Co., Ltd. as a subsidiary company
January 2011 Aquired 100% ownership of Z.R.C. Japan Corporation
March 2011 Established "KBK do Brasil Comercio de Maquinas Ltda." as a wholly owned subsidiary company in Brazil.
November 2011 Acquired the shares of Sunco Spring Co., Ltd., making it a wholly owned subsidiary
November 2012 Acquired the shares of Vahle Japan Co., Ltd., making it a wholly owned subsidiary
April 2013 Acquired the shares of Automax Co., Ltd., making it a wholly owned subsidiary
April 2015 Established Kyokuto Boeki Mexico, S.A. de C.V. as a subsidiary company
September 2015 Acquired the shares of Eto Co., Ltd., making it a wholly owned subsidiary
April 2018 Acquired the shares of Plant Maintenance Corporation making it a wholly owned subsidiary
March 2020 Changed the trade name of Kyokuto Trading (India) Pvt. Ltd. to Kyokuto Boeki India Pvt. Ltd.
January 2022 Established TWD Japan Corporation as a subsidiary company
